About UAP Idaho

UAP Idaho is a small, independent project that keeps a careful log of unusual things seen in Idaho’s skies.

Why it exists

Idaho has some of the darkest, widest skies in the country, and plenty of people look up. Reports are easy to find and good follow-up is rare. This project tries to supply the follow-up: a clear write-up, a fair attempt at an ordinary explanation, and an honest label for whatever is left.

How a report is handled

1. Capture the basics: when, where in general terms, direction, duration, appearance.
2. Compare against flights, launches, Starlink passes, planets, meteor reports and weather.
3. Label the result: explained, probably explained, or unexplained.
4. Publish only the checked summary. Names and contact details never go public.

What we draw on

AMS and IMO fireball reports, space-weather forecasts, FAA notices, open news and public posts, and historical NUFORC patterns. If a source is down, we say it is down.

Independence

UAP Idaho is run under the project name only. It is not affiliated with any government agency, company or other group, and we do not publish personal details about the people involved or about anyone who writes in.
